Orchestral Conductor § Leadership Coach
After a childhood spent in Germany, Algeria and France, during which he was influenced by the personality of the composer Jean-Louis Florentz, then a diploma from Sciences Po Paris and foreign aid in Togo, Guy Perier started his career at L'Oréal as Marketing manager in France and in Asia where, when based in Hong Kong, he developed markets in 11 countries. Alongside the Vice-President in charge of Human Relations, he then defined and put in place a policy of apprenticeship training for all the group's jobs.
Eager to carry out a vocation which started during his youth, he followed an international training program of orchestral conducting in France, Austria and the US. He started by assisting great leaders such as Christoph von Dohnányi in Cleveland, Peter Maag in Italy, Evelino Pidó at the Champs-Elysées Theater, and Philippe Auguin in Nuernberg. In France, he has performed with the Orchestra of the Republican Guard and the Symphony and Lyric Orchestra in Nancy. In 2001, he founded Concerto Opertura by reuniting some of the best professional musicians working in France and approached a reprtoire of orchestral pieces as well as soloists ensemble or chamber operas going from the classical period to music of the 20th century.
As a witness to his flair for making new people discover music, he designs and implements educational concert-shows: "Welcome to our hearts Mr Bartok" for the Dijon Opera, "Journey in the country of feelings" at the Petit-Palais Museum in Paris with musicians from the National Orchestra of France, "Long live Franco-German friendship" at the Flagey Studios in Brussells. He is the narrator for the chamber music group for the Chambre d'Amis which has produced 7 seasons of concerts in Paris. He has also created programs for Radio Classique.
Drawing on this double experience, Guy Perier carries out Team building and Leadership by music interventions.
